Gregory Harrison

Gregory Harrison's four-decade career spans television, film and theater. He's starred in over 40 movies-of-the-week, including Breaking the Silence, For Ladies Only, Robin Cook's Mortal Fear, Murder at 75 Birch, the First Daughter trilogy for TBS and the record-setting Au Pair trilogy for ABC Family Channel. Harrison's miniseries include: Centennial, Fresno, Nothing Lasts Forever and last year's Maneater, on the Lifetime Channel. Television series include: Safe Harbor, New York News, Family Man, Falcon Crest, Logan's Run and Trapper John, M.D.

Among many others, Harrison has had recurring roles on Sisters, Ed, Judging Amy, Strong Medicine, Joey, and is currently making regular appearances on One Tree Hill for the CW Network. He also recently guest-starred on CSI:NY and Hot in Cleveland with the ageless Betty White.

Harrison's feature films include: It's My Party, North Shore, Razorback, Running Wild, Air Bud II: Golden Receiver, Love 'n Dancing (with Amy Smart and Billy Zane), and the recently-released Give 'em Hell, Malone (with Thomas Jane and Ving Rhames).

Debuting on Broadway in 1997 in Kander and Ebb's Steel Pier, Harrison followed with the 2001 Broadway revival of the critically acclaimed Sondheim musical Follies, co-starring Blythe Danner and Treat Williams. More recently, Harrison played slick lawyer Billy Flynn in another Kander and Ebb musical Chicago, both on Broadway and in the national tour (72 cities).

His regional musical credits include: Of Thee I Sing, Paper Moon: The Musical, Festival, Guys and Dolls, and The Music Man. Dramatic theater roles include this year's Surf Report at the La Jolla Playhouse, The Hasty Heart and Picnic (both taped for Showtime on Broadway), as well as Child's Play, Top Secret: The Battle For The Pentagon Papers and the world theatrical premiere of Carnal Knowledge, at the Pasadena Playhouse.
Harrison has developed and produced more than two dozen movies-of-the-week under the aegis of Catalina Productions, the company he co-founded and named after his childhood island home. Catalina Productions also funded and operated the Coast Playhouse in Los Angeles from 1982-1993, during which time its 60 productions garnered more than one hundred LA Theater Awards. In 1993, Harrison was honored with the Ovation Award for "Outstanding Contribution to LA Theater."

The father of four grown children (Emma, Lily, Kate and Quinn), Harrison and his beautiful wife Randi spend much of their free time on the Oregon coast. Harrison enjoys golf, but after 50 years of chasing waves around the world, surfing remains his number one passion.

Linda Purl

Actress, singer, dancer, Linda is a main stay of television. She has starred in over 40 television Movies of the Week, and will soon be seen as Helene Beasley, Pam’s Mother in The Office. She is probably best known as Charlene Matlock from the series Matlock and as Ashley Pfister, Fonzie’s fiancée, from Happy Days. Highlights of her Movies of the Week have been Born Free, The Last Days of Pompeii (with Sir Laurence Olivier), The Manions of America (with Pierce Brosnan), Like Normal People the award winning docu-drama about a mentally retarded couple co-starring Shaun Cassidy.

Linda’s feature film credits include Disney’s Mighty Joe Young, The Walking Major (with Toshiro Mifune), Crazy Mama (directed by Jonathan Demme) and Leo and Loree (produced by Ron Howard).

Linda began her career in the theatre in Japan, where she was raised and became the only foreigner to have trained at the Toho Geino Academy. Her studies continued at LAMDA and later at both the Neighborhood Playhouse and Lee Strasberg Institute.

Linda has received six Dramalogue Best Actress Awards and two Dramalogue Awards as Best Producer. She has received two Robby Awards for Best Actress and is a three time nominee of the Los Angeles Drama Critic’s Award for Best Actress. She is the recipient of the Connecticut Critics’ Award for Outstanding Performance in a Play for her work in The Baby Dance.

Linda has recorded broadcasts of Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass, The Odd Couple with Nathan Lane and Nora with the late David Dukes for National Public Radio, also Milford Haven (created by her sister Mara Purl) for the BBC II.

Of Linda’s recent appearance at the 92 Street Y The NY Times says she “…melt(s) into “It’s a New World,” as softly as Judy Garland, who made it famous in “A Star Is Born.” Linda tours with her solo concert Come Rain or Come Shine nationally and internationally. Additionally she is currently touring in a centenary salute to Great American songwriter Johnny Mercer with Lee Lessack and Rhapsody for Two a dancing tribute to romance from the 40’s with Kevin Spirtas. Linda’s recordings include solo cuts on George and Ira Gershwin: A Musical Celebration, Cole Porter: A Musical Toast, Adler, Boch, Coleman, A Hollywood Christmas“. Her solo albums are Alone Together and Out of this World – Live with Special Guest Artist Desi Arnaz, Jr. She is co-founder and serves Festival Director of the California International Theatre Festival, www.citfestival.org.
